We built the platform
we wished we had

HumDov exists because faith communities deserve software that was designed for them, not repurposed from a generic nonprofit tool or assembled from disconnected modules.

The Church has always been the most enduring community institution in human history.

Yet most churches run their administration on tools cobbled together from three different software companies, none of which talk to each other.

A faith community seated in a circle for an open discussion

We thought that
was worth fixing.

I grew up shaped by the local church. It wasn't a Sunday obligation, it was where life happened, the room my family returned to in every season. After more than a decade building enterprise software for Fortune 500s across healthcare, finance, and beyond, I kept noticing one place where good technology rarely showed up well. The local church.

Then the pandemic hit. I watched communities I loved scramble to stay connected with tools that were never built for them. Pastors stitching together a separate app for giving, another for messaging, a spreadsheet for member care, a platform for streaming. The mission was the same as it had always been, but the friction was crushing. People were drifting, and the tools meant to help were getting in the way.

HumDov is what I wished they'd had. One home for the whole life of a faith community, built on the conviction that the people doing the real work deserve software that takes them seriously.

Four principles that shape
everything we build

Communities should never be penalized for growing

Unlimited members on every plan is not a marketing tactic. It is a conviction. The mission of a faith community is to grow. We will never make that more expensive.

Giving should flow freely, not get taxed into friction

We give at cost on paid plans because the money people give belongs to the mission, not to a software company’s margin. Our revenue comes from subscriptions, not from taking a cut of the offering plate.

Software should serve the ministry, not the other way around

Every feature we build has to answer one question: does this help a church leader spend more time on people and less time on admin? If the answer is no, we do not build it.

Faith technology should be built by people who understand faith

HumDov was built inside the faith community, not from the outside looking in. We know the difference between a tithe and a donation. We know what Loop audio rooms mean for a small group that cannot meet in person. That context matters.
