Inside HumDov Studio: Done-for-You Sermon Edits, Social Graphics, and Motion Content That Ships Straight to Your Church App

Every church we work with has the same week. A 45-minute sermon is delivered Sunday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, somebody on staff is asking the same question: where are the clips? Where's the graphic for Sunday? Where's the motion bumper for the upcoming series?

That somebody is usually a media volunteer who has a day job, a pastor's spouse who is doing it because nobody else will, or — increasingly — nobody at all. The result is predictable: content gets posted Friday at 9 p.m. when nobody's watching, the social channels go dark for three weeks at a time, and a sermon that took the pastor 30 hours to prepare reaches a fraction of the audience it could.

HumDov Studio exists to fix that. This article explains what HumDov Studio is, who it's for, what's included in each retainer, and the one thing that genuinely sets it apart from every other church creative agency on the market.

What HumDov Studio Is

HumDov Studio is a done-for-you creative production retainer for churches and faith-based communities. We handle the things your media volunteer doesn't have time for: sermon edits, short-form vertical clips for social, full-length sermon uploads, social graphics, motion bumpers, livestream production, and full church identity videos for select long-tenured partners.

It's a monthly retainer, not a project-by-project quote. You know what you're paying every month, and we know exactly what we're delivering. That predictability matters for church budgets and for our production schedule.

Who HumDov Studio Is Built For

HumDov Studio is built for the church that has outgrown the "a volunteer will do it" model but isn't ready to hire a full-time media director. That's a surprisingly wide window. It includes:

  • Church plants that want to show up on social media looking like an established church
  • Mid-size churches whose media volunteer has burned out (or moved away, or had a baby, or all three)
  • Multi-site churches that need consistent visual identity across locations
  • Churches that already have a media person but need scalable production capacity behind them
  • Pastors who want to invest in content but don't want to manage a creative team

What's Included in a HumDov Studio Retainer

Retainers are structured around the actual rhythm of a church's content needs. Here's what a typical monthly package looks like.

Sermon Edits

We take the full Sunday sermon recording and produce a polished, full-length edit suitable for YouTube, your church website, podcast distribution, and the HumDov app's sermon library. Edits include intro and outro plates with your church branding, audio leveling, light color correction, and lower-third graphics for scripture references when appropriate.

Vertical Sermon Clips for Social Media

This is the heart of most retainers. We pull the most shareable moments from every sermon — the lines that made the room go quiet, the stories, the prayers — and produce them as vertical clips formatted for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and the HumDov social feed. Each clip is captioned, branded, and built to stop the scroll.

Retainers typically include between 6 and 16 vertical sermon clips per month, depending on tier. That's enough to post short-form video three to four times a week — the cadence that actually grows a social audience.

Social Graphics

Static graphics for sermon series announcements, scripture-of-the-week posts, event promotions, mid-week encouragement, and quote graphics pulled from sermon content. Designed in your church's brand, sized correctly for every major platform.

Motion Content

Animated sermon series openers (the bumper that plays before the sermon starts), countdown timers for service start, lower-third animations for guest speakers, and short motion social posts. Motion content is what separates a church that looks professional from a church that looks like it's running on slides from 2014.

Livestream Production Support

On premium retainers, we provide live producer support during your Sunday service — handling lower thirds, scripture overlays, scene switching, and post-stream archive preparation. This is for churches running a serious livestream operation but not wanting to staff a full broadcast team.

Custom Church Website Builds

Separate from the standard retainer but available through HumDov Studio: full custom church website builds. Modern, fast, mobile-first, and integrated with your HumDov Connect platform for unified people and giving data.

The Thing That Actually Makes HumDov Studio Different

Here's the part that no other church creative agency can match, and it's worth pausing on.

When HumDov Studio finishes a sermon clip or a social graphic, that content doesn't get sent to your church staff as a download link in an email. It gets published directly into your HumDov feed and mobile app. The clip is in your sermon library, on your social feed in the app, and ready to push out to your external social channels — all in the same workflow.

Compare that to the traditional model. A church hires Church Media Squad, Vibrant Agency, Crtvly, or any number of fine creative agencies. Those agencies do excellent work. But the output is a Dropbox link, a Google Drive folder, or a Frame.io review. A staff member has to download the files, upload them to the church's CMS, upload them to social, upload them to the sermon archive, and remember to post them at the right time. That handoff is where most church content dies.

HumDov Studio eliminates the handoff. We're not an outside agency holding files. We're part of the same platform that distributes your content. The clip we finish on Tuesday afternoon is live in your app Tuesday afternoon. That single integration changes the economics of church content production.

How HumDov Studio Compares to Other Church Creative Agencies

We respect the work being done by Church Media Squad (TheSquad), Vibrant Agency, Creative Church Marketing, Igniter Media, Twelve Thirty Media, Church Motion Graphics, and the other established names in church creative. They've trained a generation of church staff and built a real category.

Here's where HumDov Studio is structurally different:

  • Lower entry price than most unlimited-graphics retainers in the category
  • Higher monthly video edit capacity at comparable price points
  • Native platform integration — content ships directly into your church app and feed, not as a download link
  • Same vendor for your platform, giving, and creative — one bill, one relationship, one support team
  • Optional Studio Spotlight perk for long-tenured Unlimited subscribers (full on-location production day yielding a 5-minute church identity video, a 60-second YouTube channel trailer, a vertical social cutdown, and a raw b-roll library)

A Typical Week With HumDov Studio

To make this concrete, here's what an actual week looks like for a church on a HumDov Studio retainer.

Sunday: Service happens. Your in-house team uploads the raw sermon recording to a shared folder in your HumDov dashboard.

Monday morning: A HumDov Studio producer reviews the sermon, flags the moments worth clipping, and assigns the work to the editor team. Series graphics and any midweek social posts are queued for production.

Tuesday: The full sermon edit is finished and pushed into your HumDov sermon library. Your team gets a notification that it's live, with one-click options to push to YouTube and the public website.

Wednesday: First two vertical sermon clips are published to your HumDov feed and queued for cross-posting to Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Social graphics for the week are delivered.

Thursday: Two more vertical clips drop. Motion bumper for next Sunday's series is finalized and reviewed.

Friday: Final clips of the week are published. Weekly content recap goes to your team showing what was published and which posts performed best.

Saturday: A motion countdown timer is queued for the start of Sunday's service. You're ready to go.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need access to our raw sermon recordings?
Yes. We need the full sermon audio and video file. Most churches upload to a shared HumDov folder Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. If your in-house team produces a livestream, we can pull from the archived stream as well.
Do we own the content HumDov Studio produces?
Yes. All content produced is yours to use however you'd like, in perpetuity. We retain limited rights to feature the work in HumDov's own marketing materials, with your prior approval.
What's the minimum commitment?
HumDov Studio retainers are month-to-month with a 60-day notice for cancellation. We don't lock churches into annual contracts.
Can HumDov Studio match our existing church brand?
Yes. Onboarding includes a brand intake — colors, fonts, logo marks, brand voice notes — so the work feels like an extension of your church, not a stock template.
What if we already have a media person on staff?
Many of our best client relationships are with churches that have an in-house media director. HumDov Studio gives them production capacity they couldn't build internally — additional editors, motion designers, social specialists — while they focus on the strategic creative direction. It's not either-or.
Is HumDov Studio available outside of Texas?
Yes, with one exception. The full Studio Spotlight on-location production package is currently scoped to the DFW and Houston metros while we scale that offering. All other Studio services — sermon edits, social, motion, livestream — are delivered remotely and available nationwide.

Ready to Stop Posting at 9 p.m. on Fridays?

Your sermon deserves more than one Sunday morning. Your church social feed deserves more than a stock graphic posted three times a month. And your media volunteer deserves a break. Request a HumDov Studio consultation and we'll walk you through what a custom retainer would look like for your church — pricing, capacity, sample work, and a realistic timeline for getting your content engine running.
